How to ensure the shape stability of Printing Corduroy Fabric after washing?

To ensure the morphological stability of Printing Corduroy Fabric after washing, multiple links from fabric production, printing process to finishing need to be optimized.

Use high-quality natural fibers (such as long-staple cotton) or high-strength synthetic fibers (such as polyester fibers) to increase the washability and deformation resistance of the fabric.
Introducing an appropriate amount of elastic fibers (such as spandex) in the blending process can improve the elastic recovery performance of the fabric and reduce the deformation caused by fiber breakage or loosening after washing.

Improve the fabric density and velvet firmness of corduroy fabric to enhance its tensile and abrasion resistance, and avoid fiber displacement and velvet disorder during washing.

Use reactive dyes or disperse dyes to form strong chemical bonds inside the fiber molecules, improve the color fastness and stability of the fabric, and avoid fading or transfer of patterns during washing.
Add water-resistant additives (such as waterproofing agents or softeners) to protect the velvet and fabric structure of corduroy fabric in a wet state.

Use low-temperature printing or digital printing technology to avoid deformation or melting of the velvet of corduroy fabric caused by high temperature.
After printing, wash the fabric thoroughly to remove residual dyes and chemicals and reduce damage to the fabric structure caused by chemical reactions after washing.

Finish the fabric through heat setting process to heat set it in a predetermined size and shape to reduce dimensional changes in subsequent washing.
Control the heat setting temperature and time to ensure that the pile remains upright and evenly distributed during the heating process.

Treat corduroy fabric with anti-shrinkage agents (such as resin finishing agents or cross-linking agents) to increase the stability of the fiber and reduce the fiber expansion and shrinkage caused by water absorption during washing.

It is recommended to use low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free environmentally friendly resin finishing processes to ensure soft feel and environmental protection.

Use pile fixing technology (such as spraying wear-resistant coating or slight singeing treatment) in the post-finishing process to ensure that the pile remains flat after washing and is not easy to fall off or disordered.
Brush the pile to improve its arrangement consistency and morphological stability.

Perform repeated washing tests (such as ISO 6330 standards) during the production stage to evaluate the dimensional changes of the fabric, pile stability and the firmness of the printed pattern.
Test the performance of fabrics under different washing conditions (such as high temperature washing, mechanical friction, chemical cleaning agents), and optimize the production process based on the test results.

Provide consumers with correct washing advice:
Temperature control: It is recommended to wash at low temperature (30-40°C) to avoid high temperature causing fiber shrinkage.
Washing method: Use gentle mode to wash and avoid strong stirring to mechanically pull the fabric.
Detergent selection: Neutral detergent is recommended, and chlorine bleach or strong alkaline detergent should be avoided.
Drying method: It is recommended to dry naturally to avoid high temperature drying to damage the corduroy's fluff and base fabric structure.

Use degradable anti-wrinkle agents, shrinkage-proof agents or softeners to improve the corduroy's washability and reduce the burden on the environment.

Introduce energy-saving heat setting equipment and low-water consumption printing equipment to optimize production efficiency while ensuring morphological stability.

Some leading corduroy fabric manufacturers have adopted the following practices:

Use double-layer fabric technology to improve fabric stability.
Introducing enzyme finishing technology in production can remove excess fluff while improving the firmness of the fluff and the softness of the fabric.
Laser printing technology is used to replace traditional printing to reduce damage to the base fabric.
The above method can effectively ensure the morphological stability of Printing Corduroy Fabric after washing, while improving its durability and consumer satisfaction.
